We are a person-centered agency, and we focus on informed choice and respecting the choices of the individuals who we serve.
Job Description: Community Habilitation/ Respite:
Respite- is a service that is provided for family (mother/ father/ guardian). It is your responsibility to engage, supervise and oversee the safety of the individual being provided the service.
Community Habilitation- is service a provided to an individual with a developmental disability with a primary focus on skill building. This can include money management skills, activities of daily living and socialization in the community. This is a home and community-based service.
Benefits: Paid Holidays, PTO, Medical, FMLA and sick time are offered to full-time employees only after 3 months .
Experience Level: None required.
Shift: Flexible
Work Setting/ Work Location: Individual’s home and community
Education Requirements: High School/ GED
Physical Requirements/ Working conditions: We are looking for enthusiastic and caring staff who will be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Perspective employees must be able to respect diversity. Future staff must be able to emulate positive mentorship and advocate for individual needs and wants. We are a person-centered agency, and we advocate for the right of individuals to make choices. We offer paid training and offer ongoing supervisory support. Bilingual preferred but not required. Perspective staff must also possess a clean driver’s abstract.
